Adoptive Relations Stoke
To make distinctions in marriage for adopted people would be to undermine the very reason that adoption laws were formulated in the first place, which was to place adopted children on exactly the same basis as natural children, with no distinction or discrimination in law at all. However, such marriages may be possible under the following circumstances addressed in this article.

Adoptive Relations

To make distinctions in marriage for adopted people would be to undermine the very reason that adoption laws were formulated in the first place, which was to place adopted children on exactly the same basis as natural children, with no distinction or discrimination in law at all.
However, such marriages may be possible under the following circumstances:
- The younger member of the couple must, at no time before the age of 18, have lived under the same roof as the older person.
- Both parties will be 21 or over when the marriage is due to take place.
