Wedding Gift Displays Kendal

Arrangements can be made for you to display your wedding presents at the reception, and a table should definitely be set up to store those gifts brought by guests on the day. The chief bridesmaid or best man should take responsibility for the gifts and ensure that labels are re-attached once the gifts have been unwrapped.

Wedding Gift Displays

Arrangements can be made for you to display your wedding presents at the reception, and a table should definitely be set up to store those gifts brought by guests on the day. The chief bridesmaid or best man should take responsibility for the gifts and ensure that labels are re-attached once the gifts have been unwrapped.

Each gift on display should have the nametag attached. They should be arranged in groups of like items, e.g. all linens together, all tableware together. Similar or identical gifts should be positioned apart in order to avoid embarrassment. In the case of cheques, you could display an envelope stating the name of the donor but giving no information regarding its value. Under no circumstances should the cheque itself be displayed.

After the reception, the bride's mother should pack away all the gifts and store them safely - she can arrange a display for the benefit of friends and neighbours who did not attend the reception. They should then be transferred to your home just before you come back from honeymoon, where you may arrange your own display for your friends.

If you are thinking of displaying your gifts at the reception, you must consider security and insurance. To prevent theft or damage, they should be kept in a locked room until the reception starts. It may be worth considering extra insurance to cover the gifts while they are at the reception, being transported and even in the home of the bride's parents if they include some very valuable items.
